Archive Bank is a project under construction and is based on a broad collaboration. For the data entry Archive Bank counts on the contribution of partners in the archive
landscape and all those interested in the archival heritage. Both archive institutions and private individuals can inform us about the archives they are safeguarding.
This can be done via the
registration form or after
contact with the Archive Bank team.
For archive institutions which wish to
input their data themselves, the input module is available free of charge.
Agreements can be made with repositories concerning conversions and/or the linking to local opening systems. Archive institutions can prepare their own archive overview via Archive Bank.
Archive Bank works together with the Belgian State Archive and numerous city and municipal archives which preserve private archive files.
The cultural theme archives input the data about the archive files located by them. There is a close cooperation with
Odis, the Onderzoekssteunpunt
Databank Intermediaire Structuren [Research Resource Centre for the Study of Intermediary Structures in Flanders]. Thematic archive and documentation
centres, libraries, museums, universities, folkloric circles, companies, local archive projects round out the extensive list of Archive Bank partners.
The
list of partners gives an alphabetical overview of the organisations and individuals who have provided data for the database, or even
entered the data themselves. The results of most of the participants can be seen in the public catalogue. For others this will only be possible at a later date.
